Bios

It would be a tremendous help if each of you could put a bio paragraph on the front of your personal space.

Right now, about 30 people regularly login. Of those thirty, half don't have their personal space set up. Of those that have a personal space, most don't really have any sort of biography associated with them telling who they are.

I personally really like to know a little bit about a poet. Even if it's just 3-4 sentences. "Works as a monkey tamer in the woods of montana. Lives with his three wives, fourteen children, and pet zebra bruce. Starting writing poetry as an outlet from his incestuous fantasies about his cousin gertrude, and now finds solace in dog wood doggrel."

OK, I have no idea how to post any bio information.  I can't for the life of me figure out where to add it... unless you mean create a new page?  But no, you've got bio information on your profile page.  You suck Anstey.

And besides, nobody wants to hear about me anyway.  Keep your terminal curiosity to yourself.  I am annoyed only because I can't figure this out and it's obviously really simple.  Don't pick on me, I'm fragile.

I can get to that place, but it won't let me write in the box :(

6- Leanne on May 6 2007

I couldn't write in the box either, but it would let me past plain text so I did a copy job.  The little buttons in the left hand corner are your friend

And it's a completely unable case -- I could get to every other box but that one.

What leanne said. I could use every other box. It seemed to be mocking me.

8- ShannonVeeeee on May 6 2007

And yeah, I can't write in the field at all. Though I did what the mighty leanne said and copied into the plain text thing. Thar we go.

Ok, I added something... but it makes me sound so ordinary.

10- Tracey on May 7 2007

OK, I posted a bio and I also had some problems. I couldn't work directly in the text box, but I could copy something from Word and paste it into the box.

Then a few more glitches -- some of the copy in the box just didn't transfer over. In addition, I couldn't "pretty things up" with different fonts, bold/italics, etc. In short: I got the text into the box, but it once there it was untouchable.

Stephan, thanks in advance for checking into this.

How do I switch editors exactly? Do you recommend one editor over another?

14- Tracey on May 7 2007

I guess I wanted to use FKC for all the wrong reasons... In the end, Tiny wound up saving the day (I should have known it was the underdog who would come through.). It was super easy to use, and completely responsive to any changes I made.

Only thing is, now I see I don't have the smiley face options here. Guess I'll have to rely on words from now on. (gasp)

No smiley faces?

I protest.  Vigorously.  Hmmph.

But Tiny does the job, despite his shortcomings.

Although my bio. is boring it was easy to do.

Big smiley face

jeez I can't even figure out how to put up a bloody poem half the time, and you want a bio?!

I'm dead boring - really.
